Sweet! I've got one coming your way tomorrow that will knock out one of those plain green caps!

Ron,
very impressive sir! i will see if i have any you could add to that!
I have had the great privilege of dumping with 68 current and former Rusty Bunch members, to date. Got to hit the woods of Virginia with Charlie Smigo recently.

Impressive display. Love the variety of designs and colors all able to be displayed in a compact space.

I know next to nothing about crowns. What are the number of solid green ones? Are these placeholders for known examples of other brands you would like to add? Are there many minor variations of the same brand? Has there been any major publication showing color photography and catalog of known examples?

Ron have you thought about buying those little stands and building narrow shelves to display them? I think that would look great.

randy
the green caps are spacers so i don't have to shift them all when i ad a new one.
if you look there are many variations of most caps.
to my knolage there has not been any published book on crowns.
daev
although that would look kool, the way that they are displayed now makes it easy to take the collection to shows so i don't buy a cap i all ready have .....ron

There is actually a book on US crowns (from 2004). No values. Also a supplement was put out. Not the easiest to find...

Very nice collection! I'm sure tempted to start collecting crowns! I'm 63 years old and I look into the future when I will probably have to down size my can collection and move to a smaller home like old people do, but I hope that is still 20 years away but you never know what the future holds. I can see that crowns wouldn't take up much space and still would be a fun hobby!

Keep them both, the one on the right is a minor variation.

it has been almost 6 months since i posted these pictures of my ale collection and in that time i have been able to add 73 ale caps to the collection. the spring thaw was was real good this year. i think i added 16 just from that show. the rest came from friends and ebay. looking at the crown data base it looks like i have 3 to 4 hundred to look for. when i get a chance i will update the pictures.....ron
