Re: CCC Discussion Thread
This is an unfinished listing. There is lots more information still to be found. I am hopeful some of you will be able to use some of this information to look in your local area and find out some more clues.
The three listing show.
- A list of actual CCC Plant Numbers that are known either from the beer can’s marking or from documented research, mostly with their city and address. (These I have actual information to corroborate the plant number and location are the same.)
- An Alphabetical list of all known CCC plants by location (With or Without Plant numbers)
- A list of known CCC Plants by State.
Note: The Plant Number column on the left of all the spreadsheets shows the plant number if known otherwise it has a one or two letter code for reference purpose .Enjoy

Re: Continental Can Company Plants Master Files
Very cool...My understanding was that CCC 1 was always a mystery, but you seem to have tracked it down to Syracuse. Cans that are marked CCC 1 seem to be few and far between. How did you get the info that CCC 1 is Syracuse? Awesome job on these lists!!!
EDIT: I always thought plant 10 was Greenwich, Connecticut. It's Toronto? Is that definite?

Re: Continental Can Company Plants Master Files
Hi Ron,
If I have the plant number listed with a location next to it I can prove it is from that location. I am at work and do not have any of the information with me at the moment. Also I am just about to fly off to Dallas so I might not get time to put it up on here before I fly. I intend to add a lot of different facts after I come back from the Canvention in Dallas.
There was definitely a Plant 10 in Toronto, I have not found any info about CCC in Greenwich, Connecticut but do know there was an American Can Company plant there so maybe that is the plant you are thinking of?

Re: Continental Can Company Plants Master Files
Believe that the plant in Harvey Louisiana was a canning plant, seems like I heard that a long time ago. Can't recall if they made beer cans. I know that Regal, Jax, and Falstaff all used Continental cans at one time or another, can't read the plant number to see if it's the same one.
This is a really interesting chart, and thanks for sharing this!

Re: CCC Discussion Thread
Not sure if I have any pictures, but some years back I was shown a CCC can that had two different canning codes (by Rawley I think), something like:
CCC 20
CCC 60
The numbers above just example, can't remember the exact, but they were definitely two unique codes, and looked intentional, not misprint. Any thoughts? I guess if could find/remember the exact two numbers maybe that would help.

Randy is correct. I have seen 3 different cones with dual codes exactly like he is saying. I always wondered about that as well. I think I still have one in the collection so maybe I can find it to see which 2 codes they were.
I shall leave no cone unturned!!

Re: CCC Discussion Thread
I've seen that, too, and also on a conetop. At this point I'm hoping Jim finds his so I might remember which brand I saw it on.
My best guess on the "two code" cans is that one location may have run short on a specific ink color, so the partially lithographed sheets might have been shipped to a sister plant for finishing? Just shooting in the dark, but it's the only idea I've had that made any sense.

Where can I find the CCC XLS? Or, who can tell where plant 9A was located? Thank you.

Re: CCC Discussion Thread
Carl, look under the CCC Master files and open (or download) the numerical file. This Aussiekeith's wheelhouse. He shows plant 9 as Baltimore. Not sure about 9A. You might want to drop him a PM about it.

Re: CCC Discussion Thread
Ya, I did find the list.
Here is an extract from Facebook (Dead Memories Portland https://www.facebook.com/groups/deadmemoriesportland/)
Today my neighbor brought over a skinny cardboard box to me and said "Hey, you know anything about these ? I've had them in my shed for years."
What I pulled out is a little gem of nostalgia. Inside were 100 7 Up Continental Can Company 9A Cold Wax Vend Cups that depict four different scenes from around Oregon. They are white with blue, green, black and red ink. The scenes are Rose Festival - Portland, Bonneville Dam - Columbia River, Ecola Park - Oregon Coast, and Crooked River Gorge - Central Oregon.
Under the cup, along the bottom rim it is marked "63-12 9A Continental Can Company, Inc ., Made in the USA". They also have printed the words. "Seven Up " with the 7 Up logo and the words "The Uncola". Also printed is "Please Don't Litter-Help Keep Oregon Clean". They are in their original box that had been obviously opened and is lightly damaged. The cups however are not damagaged and are mint, clean and pristine.

Re: CCC Discussion Thread
Up here in the great white north we also have a can that displays two different canning company numbers. It's a Black Label from Vancouver B.C.Randy Karasek wrote:Not sure if I have any pictures, but some years back I was shown a CCC can that had two different canning codes (by Rawley I think), something like:

According to Keith's list CCC59 is in Lachine PQ which is a mere 3000 KMs from where the can was sold, the CCC27 is not listed. There are several other brands with cans that sport the CCC27 plant ID including a Labatts Blue, a Pilcan, an Old Veinna and all of the Uncle Bens. These cans were all sold in British Columbia. At the time these cans were marketed, the brewer had to operate a brewery in the province that the product was being sold in.
