The soft cross in the middle is the prototype can which has the bottom brown section wrapped and glued on to the tan portion of the can to create the same look as the "production" can. The mandatories on the side were also glued on but are just pieces of plastic print. The soft cross logo is a flat red color instead of the glossy maroon-ish color.
The two cans on each side of the center one are the same can....I just like the looks of them. My database says there are 7 of them but I suspect that more folks have them but don't know they are relatively rare (rate at $1 in the USBC II). I've held 4 of them in my hand and have good knowledge of the other 3. I love the label and collect anything related to it.

The brown Miller Malt Liquor with the script "MALT" was a deal I couldn't pass up (thanks to Shawn Millet) and the red Malt Liquor is just to show the production can difference.

Why didn't you put them next to each other in Pic to show comparison?

Sorry, I'll work on my display skills....... The Miller malts are next to each other on the shelf normally but the pic was taken with a pyramid due to space and I was trying to make the pyramid symmetric and equally colorful......I thought the Miller soft crosses in the middle would be good with the equally rare script Malt can on one side with the red can on the other side. In retrospect I should have separated the 2 orange and black Lite Halloween contest cans also with maybe a green test can on both sides or in between . I hope nobody noticed. The green St Patricks day cans should have been centered on the top row with a gold MGD can on both sides.....that would have been cool. Now I'm all self conscious and stuff...........
You're trying to bustin my nutz Leon!! You're killin me!! :()
BTW....I just acquired a new test can so I'll make a new pyramid. Leon, you're coming over to set it up!!

New Miller test can thanks to the RB Want List forum and Ron Small. It's a plastic wrapped PET can (Polyethylene terephthalate) which is long hand for plastic bottle/can. They are basically a prototype for the current plastic bottles only with aluminum tab top lids. It was taller than I thought it would be and barely fit on the shelf.

Yes, A new Pyramid would be nice. I may just have to come over & help you. Should I bring my Ales over? LEON.

P.S. OK, looking at it now I see how you strategically placed them on each side of the soft crosses, that looks good that way.

Kurt, I did not see the Miller Trenton Ohio Plant Can in your Pyramid. I remember driving back from my Moms house in Huntsville Alabama in 1991, I stopped at a Ohio Gas Station & bought a 6 pak of these. sold & traded 5 off & kept one for my collection. Do you have this can or need one? LEON.

Hi Fellas,
I am new to the Rusty Bunch and I am admiring these cool Miller Test cans. I collect Miller High Life memoriabilia and the pictures are a great reference. Do you know of any book or books referencing the Miller Beer Can Collection, or Advertising Collection? I am relatively new to just focusing on Miller, I also collect anything Breweriana that strikes my fancy!!
Happy Holidays!

I am not aware of any specific books just for Miller cans or advertising. I use the USBC books to some extent and know several other collectors of just Miller stuff that I use as reference. I have several totes full of Miller and Lite cans (mostly aluminum) that I'll post on your Want List. Just need to drag them out and take pictures.....might take a couple of days. :)
Welcome aboard and check out my profile page.....it shows most of my Miller stuff.
