Expiermenting. What do you think?

#1

Post by DanielinAk »

Instead of practicing on a beer can I went with this Coke Can as I was experimenting with a water based product that eats rust away and it's safe to the bare skin.
As you can see it is not fast by any means. It did not fade or eat away at the paint and if it wasn't bare steel or paint it did not bother it.
This Can had some strange black rust on it not like the typical rust I find on cans.
I plan on working on another Can with this stuff as it is reusable.
I'll try it on several cans before I say anything as I want to judge it after several uses.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Wow! I like it.....can't wait to hear what it is. Didn't cut into the red either. Wonder how it would work on metallic cans....hummmm.....

Looks like "Low and Slow" is working on those old cans like it does on bbq. Nice job! Wouldn't mind finding out what you're using. Keep us posted! :smt023

Looks like it is a citric acid based solution. Citric will eat the metal away so you need to be careful not to overdo it.
