May try a little acetone or mineral spirits but be careful because it will take paint off also. I have never do it, but I'm sure there are folks on here that could chime in with their experiences

Acetone is what I have used it works but keep a close eye on it. only problem it evaporates very fast and is not cheap. I would try it on a can you don't mind damaging just to get the hang of it. if you need fairly common ones maybe check with Mike Wilbur here he had a ton of lacquered cans in the past like GOLDEN GRAIN.
