Restoring a can

#1

Post by ebiese »

I have a Gretz conetop can that was a paint over. The restoration was done by someone other than me and was done quite well in the body of the can. The remainder of the can has been stripped to the metal.
Would it be a worthwhile exercise to paint the areas that have been stripped?
Who would you recommend to do this work? What would be the approximate cost?
How much value would it add?

I would do it myself. The value added would be zero so the cost to have someone do it would be pointless. Because of the previous paintover the only value the can has will be the "fun" of just doing it yourself to see how it would turn out.
