Add OI Cans for Master List Here.

This basic OI composite I updated from an old Brewery Collectibles article from April/May 1983, author unknown. It's a basic list done in an Excel spreadsheet format, but the file can be downloaded & you can customize as you wish to include more information. The text can be posted here, but the file with all the data and layout is available to anyone who wants to download it.

Here's a sample of what the Colorado composite format looks like. This is an Excel spreadsheet that is available as a download. If your computer has Office on it, you can open the file and change it however you want. I also have the template available for download if you want to start a list.

The CO list is still under construction. When done it will cover the steel cans of Schneider, Tivoli, Walters & Coors. Got the first 2 done. I'll be doing Walters next and am hoping to get Mark (expired) to do the Coors list. He's undoubtedly THE expert with the Coors cans. If you want a copy of the list as is and the template, just PM me your e-mail address. The file will be in an Excel format, so you'll need Office on your computer to open it.

Test run... OI list

Condor beer? That's a new one to me.

Looks like the "comments" field is where the minor variation info will be going. Can't wait to input the MD flats! I'd like the template please.

Mr. Maryland hasn't heard of Condor Beer? C'mon, man, I thought you were on top of things! (OK, I have no idea what Condor Beer is, either.)

Scott pretty well covered where we're hoping to take this thing. The only minor hangup at the moment is developing a tasteful way of posting lists here on the forum since Excel spreadsheets are not supported as "live" documents. Danny has mentioned a bit of magic he can work that will help out whenever he's back from Canvention and has a few minutes to work with us, although what Scott posted with the O/Is looks really good as a thumbnail reference.

Beyond that, the idea is for he and I to archive living composites as Excel files and make them available to anybody who would like copies for themselves. As Scott said, they can be edited and formatted to individual tastes that way.

I am planning to drop a sticky in this forum to outline what this Composites section is about, philosophically speaking. Once that's been put together, I think more people will "get it." Stay tuned!

I just sent Dave a copy of the template. So all you need to do Steve is PM either of us your e-mail address. Once you get it, you are ready to go. Just be sure to send in a "master" copy for the Dave/Scott archive. By the time you get it done, we'll have all the minor issues worked out.

I thought the same thing when I first copied that old OI composite... Condor Beer??? There may very well be an example out there somewhere. Although no author was given for the article, I found that it was very complete for the day. Whoever wrote it really put some time & effort into it. Comments were made for each can as to how many on grade examples were known. His comment for the Condor was "rare".

All:

Just a heads up that I'm banging away at an OI composite cross referencing Lilek, Class, Bible, Unlimited, and USBC. Would rather not have duplicate effort going on......so if anybody else is whacking away at this, let me know so we can coordinate. Otherwise I'll keep plowing away. Most of the way through the "A"s.

Dan just posted what I've done on the spreadsheet. If anybody has the class, unlimited, bible, usbc, and lilek books and wants to pitch in, let me know and we'll divy up the list.

The effort I'm struggling with right now is to compile the cans that are already documented in several sources right now...... (mostly in Lilek). Really do suggest you get ahold of a set of Lilek books.....invaluable.....too hard to email "fine descriptions" around.
