This was the one really great can in a 70s collection I just picked up. (there were other decent cans, but this was the best one). Think it's worth soaking in Oxalic a little bit?? MarkB

Yes, I would soak that one. I don't think you have to much to worry about with it, and I'll wager that it will improve quite a bit.
Cool to luke warm water. Fresh normal strength acid. Soak for about 15 minutes...watch it the whole time so you can remove if there looks to be a problem.
Wax the painted areas and use wd40/oil on the rusty portions.
