Hi Jim, thought I would post some pictures of mine. There definitely seems to be a difference in the silver on the cone compared to the label part of the can, so I don't think it is a misprint.

Re: Silver Fitzgerald's Lager crowntainer
Thanks for posting that. The top does look a bit different.
Here is mine. What about it crowntainer dudes and NY specialists? Are these regular production cans or ones that just
missed the white paint?

It looks to me the white enamel is roared. That can doesn't look to be a silver variation IMHO

Yea, that has always been my opinion as well......but with a number of these out there, it does make one wonder why.Cantageous wrote:It looks to me the white enamel is removed. That can doesn't look to be a silver variation IMHO

Re: Silver Fitzgerald's Lager crowntainer
My memory is so bad these days I don't even trust my own thoughts. Lol
I think the Crowntainer was Aluminum coated steel. If you paint over that you would see the steel aluminum/steel underneath. I'm just brainstorming ( which can be bad when your brain isn't working right lol)
But anyway. These could be paint overs.
There are some Crowntainer's that are mostly enamel with a silver top. I bet of you rub that enamel away you will find the same coating at the top/Neal portion of the Crowntainer. An experiment I have yet to do
These are my ramblings. May they be documented for posterity
Cheers,
Keith

Re: Silver Fitzgerald's Lager crowntainer
I am inclined to think it is a different variation, mainly because on my can there appears to be a difference in the silver on the cone versus the silver on the body of the can. The white ones are white all over, so it doesn't seem like it would end up looking different on the body versus the cone if the white deteriorated. Now it could be a white crowntainer with a silver top, but I am not aware of that being a known variation either, so I think it is an uncommon variation either way.
