Country Club Malt Liquor Watch

Post by baartz »

I just picked up this Country Club Malt Liquor wristwatch. It says HELBROS Electric and was made in West Germany. If you know anything about this watch please let me know. Thank you.

Hey Brian, if that watch has the original movement in it, it's a hybrid. Meaning most of the mechanical function of the movement is like a mainspring powered version, except that the power source is a battery. You should take it into your local watch shop & have them check it out for you. Hopefully it runs OK.

These hybrid type movements were popular in the late 60's to early 70's. The only problem you might have is part availability should something need replacing.
