After Stroh's Show Dig.

#1

Post by Leon »

After I left the Stroh's show in Wyandotte I was driving through run down dilapitated Detroit where I usually dig my Privies, so stopped for a little Privie digging. Went behind a burned out late 1800's house. Started probing & found a spot. LEON.

P.S. Dont forget to click pics to supersize.

All the Foliage made it a jungle & more difficult but also so makes it easyier to hid from any unwanted approaches from low lifes. Only got 2 feet down & started hitting glass but all broken, only got one whole milk bottle. Seemed to date around 1910 if I had to guess. Was a shallow trash pit instead of privy. LEON.

Here's the hole after I filled it in, even though It was in desolate slumsville sticksville I still tried to fill it in decently but the tall 3 foot grass made it difficult. LEON.

Bantam, I was finding pre prohibition embossed beer bottles (mostly common aqua West Side Brewing) so not new enough for cans. I did find 2 newer 1940's pits nearby before & one still had the irtp labels on the Beer bottles but no cans. Could be possible to dig up a Regal in one of these newer Trash Pits. LEON.

Bummer. Milk bottles have always looked the same. Could you make out the brand of the labeled bottles?

I don't think such a thing as a suburb in Detroit. What I meant by still there was it's more then likely been burned down & abandoned long ago. Wondered if standing with people living in it? LEON.
