Found these last weekend. 1890's?

#1

Post by Leon »

Was out digging by my old river spot last weekend. Found my first old stoneware Ginger Beer bottle. Found 3 of them, all 3 had different tops. I'm guessing they date from late 1890's to around 1910. No names on them. Could of been worth big bucks with a named on them. LEON.

Very cool find Leon!...labled would have been the icing on the cake, any stamping on the bottom or near the base?

I would never assume you did not know every trick of the trade Leon, but with that stamp - get some molding clay or even silly putty and get an indentation - cover that imprint with paint or nail polish and lightly place it on a sheet of paper - you should get a better view of the lettering - something I have done before..
