All bottles are from 1870's, 1870's bottles are very hard to find in Michigan. The one Bottle, Goulait from Oscoda Michigan was one of only 3 known to exist when I dug mine about 2 years ago. Very Rare, got offered $500 for mine & turned it down. Too Sentimental since I practically grew up in Oscoda as a kid in 1970's. Last Saturday we dug 9 that we kept but all had broken tops or bottoms ect, ect. About another 10+ was shattered to pieces & at bottom of hole & left there. Real Bummer

It was the side of someones yard, or it was over 100+ years ago. House was removed (burnt down) some 100+ years ago when most of Town Burnt down. We did dig a Privy in the back yard a year or 2 before that. Privy's are not usually found on side that close to front yard or front sidewalk. Being sandy area the Privy's are shallow, only 2-4 feet deep compared to the usual 5-7 feet. LEON.
