That video needs to stay here for a little while before moving to the YouTube/Video section.

My day at work was actually enjoyable since I watched that! Oh, and I got a box with a couple cans today, too!

Definitely makes you want to go digging - immediately.

Got me stoked for digging with rustamust Saturday, for sure. I think I'll wear gloves, though. Hope his tetanus shot is recent...

I was thinking of making it shorter 'cause I was afraid the average person would not watch all 10 min. & miss out on seeing the before & after cans at the end...the best part. Those guys were great to dig with. Always took the time to stop digging & answer my questions, ID cans, etc. Plus, getting to see Dave's basement was amazing too  ...a fun day all around & I hope I can line up another dump for another movie.

Bill, you should take your camera & head out west. Take a look at the "Digging with Regan" thread to see how it's done on the left coast. And really, gloves are a good thing for digging in an old dump.

Great video! Really nice production values for a homemade video, and I really liked those before and after pictures at the end. I was really wanting to see how those cans cleaned up. Some really interesting finds in that dump, too! Thanks for sharing this!

That's really got me in the mood to get back into dumping. It's been way too long since I was out digging through a big pile of cans.

Bill Ladd, man I've been reading your dig stories for years in Western & Eastern Treasures. Now I'm enjoying your videos even more. Makes for some great virtual digs. When I'm not able to get out and dig, I'm right there with you in the videos. ;) If you ever decide to do a dig in Ohio, such as privy digging or metal detecting, I'd be happy to host you. Digging cans in Ohio is pretty much a waste of time, bad soil conditions, almost no preservation. But the privy digging and detecting are good.

A fine day it was and a great dump that Bill found. Thanks, Bill for producing a great video of the day's adventures and the can finds. Of course it was too bad to exclude from the video "Topper" the friendly mouse who wouldn't leave us alone. Apparently we dislocated Topper from his cozy hiding place among the cans so he returned several times to investigate the goings on. Dave could have picked him up without moving, that's how close he came to us on several occasions.
For northern New Hampshire there was an interesting mix of cans including the Unions and many Hanley's from Rhode Island but from Massachusetts only a few Dawson's cones. Better yet was the relative remote location of the foundation, far enough away from the road and other houses not be be not readily seen or heard. This adventure certainly renewed my faith in dumping in New England, a prospect that has been severely tested in recent outings. Thanks again Bill.
