picked this up and I'm terrified that I'm going to ruin it. Concave bottom. Did a little by the seam so far and all I can can see is a cream color. Any ideas?

Yep, that's a Jolly Scot qt. Very nice.

It can be rubbed out if you're patient. Leon, Longopener, and myself have done some with success.
