Sick's Select
Here are some of the pieces of breweriana from one of my favorite labels
Not picturing cans at this time due to the fact that this forum, I believe, is supposed to focus on breweriana.

Re: Sick's Select
I picked up a Rainier light at the Vegas show and it had the small Sick's logo just under the word "Rainier". What period, era, whatever, was Rainier brewed by Sicks? Thanks!

John,
Around WWII--before and after I believe. West coasters could tell you exactly. I am at work without access to my collection to verify, but I am pretty sure--thinking about the Rainer stuff I have.

Re: Sick's Select
I have very little from Rainier, only 3 cans, the colored instructional beer can, and one of the later white instructionals plus the commonly rolled Sick's Select. I never really had any interest in the brand, collecting all those jubilee cans didn't peak my interest at all, hated the green conetop and saw nothing spectacular in the white or black cones either. It was only after I saw the old rainier motion light at Vegas that I decided I needed something else to go with the 3 cans. It's a cardboard box light with a motion waterfall light. I'd never seen it before, plus it had the Sick's logo under the word Rainier, which had me wondering about it's age. Not metal and glass like signs from the 30's, but not cheap plastic either, so probably not 50's or 60's; that's what made me post the question regarding the Sick's logo associated with Rainier. I guess I will be paying closer attention to Rainier stuff when I go to shows.

Re: Sick's Select
Keith,
That sign is circa 1939. Emil Sick's did other heavy gauge self-framed metal signs for both Ale and Beer which show Mt Rainier in the background.
I have never seen this sign before and would be very interested to buy or trade for it!
