Week 10 RBFFL update

#1

Post by thatsus02 »

Well RB Football fans, with the geese heading south and jack frost nipping at our toes, week 10 blurred the playoff picture even more. The top 4 stayed the top 4 and the bottom 6 well.......

The Saints The Saints trade with the Sportsmen proved positive for both squads. RBFL teams have a better understanding of the ESPN no drop list, as many top players have went down with season ending injuries. Lets just say that toggle needs to be off in future league considerations. We will police ourselves.

On to the action, 1st place Seamonkeys loses this week 87-92 to the Gladiators. The Crowntainers were disappointed as MIke James broke his ankle on the 1/2 yard line going in for what would have his go ahead TD. The win pulled the Glads into a 3 way tie for first in his division with the Saints and Sweepers.

In related action, Sweepers falls to the Saints 77-110. While the Saints failed to cover the 48 point spread he did enjoy the 55 points put up by his newly signed combo of Manning and D Thomas. Clayton had a mini stroke in his recliner as Manning was almost injured on one of the last plays of the game. Don't worry he will be in his recliner to coach the Saints next week.

In less interesting action, the Steamers roll past the Ranchers 95-41. Ernst's bench scored more than his starters but it still wouldn't have mattered. Wilbur moves to 5-5 with aspirations of making the top 4 at seasons end.

Also the Dogs move up in the standings as he took down Guns Wranglers 108-78. Gordo used he hometown pride of the Skins to whip him up. ####By the way Steve, I recieved my can for the online show and would just like to thank the Rusty Bunch members, Prize committee, sponsors and most of all IGOR!

In the final game, Silver Bar cant get a break, except his QB's leg as he loses by the week high 55 points. The Sportmen with his newly formed team scored the weeks high points winning 114-59. Draper could be a factor as the season winds to an end.

With only 3 weeks left the schedule seems to be against the bottom 6 as many teams play each other close to them. Teams are sorting cans as the pretenders ready their bounties. Week 11 pits Steamers vs Saints as Mike hopes to stay in the hunt. Sportmen vs Seamonkeys hoping to move closer to the top and Sweeper vs the Gladiators as they try to break the log jam that is the West division. The other games are a virtual whos who in league action.

Until next week...............

I tied in my league this week 111-111. Dez Bryant's 4 points killed me.

I think the Heurich Hotdogs and the Roswell Ranchers are just playing for pride now. EVERONE else is still in it. Only 1/2 game separates the top 4 teams. It is looking like we will have 1 team from the East and 3 from the West in the playoffs................
