He is certainly leaps and bounds ahead of me at the same age. I need to find a better way of shelving his cans to utilize space. Next time at Lowes, I am going to get some ideas.

My set is now complete thanks to many people here. I got a 520 from Dan in Indy, on friday. Thanks to Jeff for setting that up. I also don't have many traders left, thanks to a big sale via this board. I will put the remainders up on the Ad Board soon. Thanks again everyone....this was a blast!
Currently in a collecting funk. Waiting for the bug to bite again to get back into collecting some type of cans, on a small, affordable level.

Could I please get some info on this set? How many cans are in the "basic" set...26, 27, or ????
Also, I see different references to can numbers. Could someone provide me a link or info
on the number/code for each of the color schemes?

Thanks!!!!!

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum. I am trying to get these cans from states I can not get myself. I am in Wi and have vikings purple cans, packers green and yellow, and badger red and white. I am more interested in buying (paypal) unopened cans of these other states. I know this is late now as it ended in October, but if you can help me out with getting cans that you have access to in your area that would be great. Would pay anywhere from $10-15 per unopened can(shipped)

Thanks,
Justin

The cans are no longer available in my area....long gone. And all of mine have been opened and drank, as 99.9% have been. I'm curious why you want full cans? Full cans, sooner or later, become problems.

I am actually just trying to help my roommate collect these cans cause I think its kinda cool. I am not sure why he wants them full. Could you explain to me what kind of problems there are with unopened cans so maybe I can explain this to him and maybe not have to find unopened ones

Thanks

A full can is unwieldy. It will dent more easily. The contents will ferment, increasing pressure on the can and the tab top. Given enough time, it will start leaking, often slowly, exuding acidic goo as potent as paint stripper. And there goes your collectible can. Talk him into bottom-opened, drained cans.

I completed the set but have traders left for those still in the game. Will trade for other fan cans, currents, pulls, flats, etc, anything ya got that I want. Send me a private message. Here they are:

1...Purple/white 662524
1...Midnight green/silver 662484
1...Maroon/gold 662519
1...Dark blue/gold 662511
1...Deep red/white 662516
1...Blue/white 662510
1...Black/gold 662506
1...Purple/yellow 662523
2...Blue/red 662509
2...Orange/black 662522
4...Maroon/burnt orange 662477
5...Orange/white 662521
40...Dark blue/orange 662512
62...Black/yellow 662507

I'd like to say "thank you" for the warm welcome from the "Rusty Bunch" and for the trades that have been made over the past week. I sent in my $10 check yesterday to become an official member.

As for the Bud Light "fan cans" or spirit cans" I have some extra of the Black/Yellow 662507 and the Purple/Yellow 662523. I also have a couple extra Alexander Keith IPA cans that i brought across the border last year. Would like to please trade for any of the Team Colors that I need to complete the 29 can set:

662513
662514
662517
662518
662520
662524
662526
662529- need both versions...light green/yellow as well as dark green/yellow
662571
662572

Thanks & Go Hawkeyes!

I'm just curious about the qty of these cans that were saved by collectors. Due to the "current" disirability of these, did people stash away hundreds of cases of these cans in speculation of them being worth more in the future, as they did with Billy, MASH and Amana cans?

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?
