Lucky Ale

#1

Post by DanielinAk »

Check this out. I was just over at Jakes House, long story short he says yeah the juice you gave me is over here, the cans never did get cleaned.
And I said that’s because it’s probably watered down and really weak now.So where are these cans at so I can look at them?
He pulls them out of the trash can and I’m like dang, he hands me this Lucky Ale and says here you can have it and try your luck on it.

Here is what it looked like when he gave it to me.

30 minute soak in a hot load of Oxalic.

This is the best side of the can, before and after.

And here is the can freshly dug from out in the field and after my soak.

Lastly, I’m going to let the acid cool down to room temp, and probably soak it once more after the can dries out and I really look into the rust and see what I want to do.
Then I’ll soak the lids in Metal Rescue.

I actually just did some work on it removing rust so the acid can work better.
Also found my metal rescue to work it on the lids after the second soak. Stay tuned

Yes. Pockets of it. On this piece of property I only try to dig 1-4 times a year on it. That way the land owner doesn’t get bothered by my asking to much
