cans from Finland

#1

Post by tomcd62 »

Someone gave me a box of 15 or so cans they found in an old camper. Looks like the remnants of a collection as there were many bottom opened cans and a few dumpers. These were in there. Anybody out there know anything about these cans ? value? Thanks tom

These three look common, and since they're pretty spotty they would have minimal value. There are a few others that are a bit tougher, but if the others you have are the same vintage, they probably don't have a lot of value either.

Having said this, I really like Finnish cans! My great-grandparents emigrated from Finland and my father learned Finnish before English. I would certainly be interested if you happen to have any I need, and there are a few pretty common ones I don't have.

Thanks Pete, Just as I suspected. These are the only ones I have. BTW There is no shortage of Finn desendents up here in Northern Minn. Many roads with Finn names, Many Saunas , A few Finnish heritage museums, ETC. all pretty cool stuff. thanks for the reply

My father's family grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, which was heavily Finnish. Also the town of Fitchburg, MA, and a few others in Connecticut. And of course the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Not familiar with very many other areas with a lot of Finns!
