Summer Vacation

#1

Post by Rusty Jonesin »

Here's a bunch of pictures from my digging adventure in July to Northern California, and Southern Oregon with Ed, Dale, Bill and Scott. Though we found cans everyday we struggled to find any age or condition, still I sent home a big box of cans.
The weather was perfect, sunny and warm during the day, and cool at night, camping in the mountains.
After five days of digging it was great just chilling with everyone at the Gem of the Sierra's can show at Lake Tahoe.
Great time, went swimming in Lake Tahoe, even got in a few hours of digging just west of Tahoe with Scott, Bill and my first time digging with Carl. Looking forward to next year.
Without further ado, Here's my pics in no particular order.

Damn you're productive over the summer, I usually just go downtown to look for a job, then hang out in front of the drugstore.

That blue on the Rainier is as vibrant as the Mt. Shasta pic. sky.
Honor is like an island,
Steep and without a shore;
They who once leave,
Can never return.

Great Pix Rusty! Thx for posting.... and for coming out. I forgot about a lot of those places! Digging before the show is definetly the ticket. I'll post some pix that I took when I get home. Working on next years dig and show now. We have to fish Lake Tahoe next year too. That will be the icing on the cake! I am finally working on the story for last year's Tahoe dig and show.

Thinking about hitting the Super Bowl Sunday show.... will let you know.

Hey Steve, Good you all found cans, great mix. Always better to add cans to your shelve. You seem to turn cans all the times I've dug with you. Your photos really bring the dig to Life, Thanks Patrick.
