here are the last of the cans found at the big resort dump I have been digging lately and a few more cans found in other spots this season. The Buckhorn is all aluminum soft top flat top from a small pile found near a hunting camp along with some Schmidt scene tabs. The Miester Brau's were found in a dump near an old restaurant, still in business, witch must have sold gasoline at one time. Not a lot of beer, mostly Schlitz, but Lots oil cans and tires in that dump. Gluek site found at another old resort that I might be finally done digging , I dig there if I am driving by just for fun.I bet 1/3 of my collection has come from this spot . Rex, Cold Spring and Braumiester found on the side of an old 2 track. A tip from a friend of my wife's who saw a 55 gallon drum in the ditch while hiking. the cans were down the road a bit from the drum. the Clicqout club is a low pro, the spout has been pounded in. I found it in the back yard of a cabin near White Iron lake along with some toasty Pabst OIs and some 50s Fitgers cans, A tip from a carpenter friend who worked for the owner. I think I have one more can hunt in me before the snow flies .

That Meister Brau looks like it's from the very first set they made, 1952 but no year date on the side. That's one of their tougher sets to find. Did you get any other designs? I believe there are six total, shown in USBC as 95-11 through 95-16. Nice find, as well as all the others!

Lots of variety in MN! The clicqout club is a tough can.

that Cliquot Club is the only pre-war soda can - 1938 - where did you dig it? - the exceedingly crappy one I found was in MA - and the fairly-decent one I got in a trade was dug in VT or NH -.... given they only made 600K cans (I think...or maybe it was 600K cases)- I don't think it got a terribly wide distribution - the soda bottles are fairly widespread in New England dumps....

Hey Wmasspete, I dug that Cliquot Club can here in Minnesota, near Ely,MN , on the side of hill near the remnants of a cabin on White Iron Lake. The cabin burned down at some point. On the property there is a modern cabin built near the foundation of the old one.Eric, A treasure hunting carpenter friend of mine worked on the place and received permission for us to dump there. Many food cans there and a few mystery low pros. all were Blatz except the Cliquot club. Eric has since found more small piles so I will be back, But sometimes it's hard for him to find the time .tom
