clean northern Minn OIs
A friend who runs an excavating business tipped me off to the location of a small pile of Hamm's cans. He found the cans while preparing a wooded vacant lot for a structure to be built on it . Much to my surprise they were OIs and many were buried. dug up about 70 cans and left with 50 . Here's a pic of the best and a pic of the rest after a water soaking. 20 or so still soaking. tom

Re: northern Minn OIs
Tom, Cans were coated with either metallic or enamel paint. Enamel tends to hold up much better in dumps/pits. The Hamms and Pabst are both enamel.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Re: clean northern Minn OIs how much
Would have to see all sides.....and from what I can see from the front of the Hamms, grade 1 is maybe a little high. My guess....for one of the better ones you could probably comfortably ask $50. On a very strange auction situation you might be able to get $75.....but should move pretty easily at $40.
$0.02.....your mileage will definitely vary.

Re: clean northern Minn OIs
I don't see any I'd call grade 1.Maybe 1- or 2+ at best 2- at worst.
Just my 0.02 cents, others opinions may vary.

Re: clean northern Minn OIs
The best ones are grade 2. Relatively common labels though. Realistic price for the best ones is $25.00. Cool find for sure!
