Lower. I couldn’t believe that I found them down here too.

Ted,
I'm quite sure as big as that dump appears that there is some more gold in there. Congrats! :smt027

Will do Pete. I also found a few colored Drewrys oval cans and instantly thought of you.

Is that Schmidt’s oval label cone tough ? Can’t recall seeing those .. I found a Menominee come when I went to UP thought it was cool as it reminded of Chad found from the old stories

No it’s a pretty easy can, however it’s not found as often as the crowntainers. I’ve only found the red can once before and it was totally roasted so this is a pleasant surprise

Hey Ted,
Awesome!!!! This is what you've been waiting for!!! Good job in looking across the road!!!
The rust looks like the kind that will wash off like dirt, if you leave them in acid longer. (minimum of 3 hours)
Try it, you might be very pleasantly surprised!
After finishing the big dump, be sure to circle farther out into the woods, for any hidden, smaller dumps, can't hurt,
and you might find some older cans too.
I'm not trying to be a butthead, just offering some friendly advice.

Thanks! I actually did look around after I packed the final bag of cans and only found a few scattered hoff brau flats. The area this dump is in is small and surrounded by wetlands.

Batch #1
Super happy with how majority of these turned out. Got a few stragglers sitting overnight. Super happy about the bock! I figured I’d find one sooner or later because I find the regular ones often. The red top was a complete mystery can with only a part of the D showing. I’m getting really good at identifying cans with little paint. Top left goebel is from Oakland. My 3rd time dumping that can. Many of these will be upgrades. Red top is a new can altogether. Blatz is a weird blue??

Regarding Blue Blatz: it is one of two things. first, it could be some sort of weird discoloration being in the ground for so long, but I am betting option number two: you found a blue Christmas Blatz can!
