December Diggings

#1

Post by digger »

Was able to get out a couple weeks back before the snow came here in Northeast. Checked a spot that Andy G, Chappie ,Bob R, Portermite ,and myself drove past at least 15 times. The dump had ashes and dirt pushed over it so it wasn,t easy digging .One label was a toughie hoping some of the mysteries were the same but were Ballentines and Schaefers. But there is more to dig so still hoping.

Bell sign came out of the same dump as the toy car Reagan old dump but could only find 3 Pabst export flats . Bill i was thinking of u when i found those Dads Root Beer qrts. since that was the only Qrt we found and you found right next to a paved Road.I went back to the dump yesterday where the Ox Head was 2 inches of snow in NY along Delaware. Ground was frozen and couldnt find any more Ox Heads mostly food jars and then ran into lots of roofing shingles I know they can protect cans but a pain to dig thru. Did find a few qrts another dump was frozen but did have some flats and was able to unearth one qrt but was wrecking the cans because frozen. At least got something to go back to in Spring.
