Post by digger »

found these cans this past Thursday in NY The Grand Union Ale was a new shelfer for me. A landowner let me dig in his small foundation dump .Cans were in rough shape except for a few Ballentines .The one had a red tint to it thought it might be a Bock Glad I kept it. Enjoy the pics.

According to the soda book the Mission Qrt is pretty hard to find Steve. We tried to contact Dave, guy who published the soda collectibles book but havent heard from him. I dont colllect soda cans just keep them when i find them in good shape because i know alot of soda collectors visit this site. The Penguin soda is from East patterson,NJ distributed by Grand Union.I needed the Grand Union Ale flat i think thats one of those sleeper cans u dont see to often. The Mission Qrt and Spur conetop r for sale on Ebay now.

Nice digs Dwight, you should do well on those soda cones, a couple of toughies. I got a Spur Cola cone from you at a Blue Gray show a few years back.
Nice Bally Bock! I like the Grand Unions, I love digging the grocery store brands especially digging the pair, Beer & Ale.
I just dug that same Wink can....or maybe it was Neil or Bjorn that actually dug it? Anyway I ended up with it.
