Texas Meets PA
Bill Lindstrom called me while he was on a work assignment in Philly and we were able to get out for a day of dump searching this past Saturday. Andy G and Bob Reid joined us. The plan was to try some older lakes in northern N.J. Andy managed to sniff out a dump on the way which had usual suspects for the area. We think we found the main dumps for 2 of the lakes and they were bulldozed. The other lake was private and we did spot some cones by a cabin but didnt take any chances and left. We did manage to spot a 50s pile by another lake and was glad Bill got to dig some new labels. We found a few more dumps but all bottles no cans. Late in the day I took Bill to a dump where Chris Taylor unearthed some Neuweiler Bocks since it was on way home we did manage to detect some mystery flats and a few cones so Bill got to add Pa. as another state he's dumped. No Breidts Ales or Krueger Bocks on this trip but I was glad Bill called and we got to share our passion for our great hobby.

Re: Texas Meets PA
I had a fantastic time! Dwight was a great host and his "dumped it myself collection" has some really tough labels. I did not know until I got there that I would get a chance to dig with Bob and Andy also so that was a huge bonus. Still a few mystery cans to dip this weekend so there could be a surprise yet. I did manage to dump one quart cone but it was a faded out Dad's rootbeer.

Re: Texas Meets PA
Well work was already buying the plane ticket so I figured I should take advantage of it. First time I have seen fall in PA since I moved away at 10 years old. If it had been a touch cooler it would have been perfect.
