Re: California vacation digging...
What a fantastic time! My arms hurt from digging pits. tge variety of cans was amazing to me. I could have started a separate soda can collection if I wanted. Why are the sodas always in such good shape?

California Dump Camp
There was Dumpfest... and then there was California Dump Camp..
What a total awesome adventure this was. Great Time. Mentally I could have gone another week, physically...I didn't realize how wore out I was till I got home.
The Bonanza show was great Ed, It was great to meet and hang out with a bunch of the California/West coast collectors and diggers. Lots of fun and such a historic western town, so cool!
I know and have dug with Ed, But I didn't know Bill till I met him in the Reno airport and then Dale at lunch just a half hour later. Great guys and a great time digging with these three experienced and accomplished diggers.
The camping, digging and just chillin in the mountains KICKED A$$!!
I took a bunch of pictures, here's a few of them.

Re: California vacation digging...
That was a large signal we were digging to.... but it appeared to be a metal bench or picnic table. We gave up for greener pastures.....

Re: California vacation digging...
Looking forward to heading out west again.
Here's some more pics of my cans. I had no 11oz cans on the shelf before this trip, I now have eight. A couple of these cans are upgrades, but I will add around 65 new cans to the shelf from this trip. The Lucky Ale was one of Utah Mark's cans and was gifted to me from my buddy Dave Rusk, a special gem in my collection. Second Karls can I dug, the blue one dug in Oregon with Ed & Scott both times only one found. Happy Digging, Rusty Brothers

Re: California vacation digging...
An interesting thing about those Cold Braus was I needed them both and didnt even know it! I have an indoor can on the shelf but it is by Edelweiss Div of Drewerys South Bend, so really an Indiana can. We found both metallic red and enamel red Cold Braus but just by Edelweiss - Chicago. Added to cans to the Chicago collection and got rid of the Indiana can (even though it is mint.)
