Alaskan Adventure Dig
Spent two days digging with the wife and exploring looking for new dump sites. This is what we found.found this Can right off the bat and of all places not three foot off the side of the road.
This is a first for me.
I was shocked to have pulled another Mountain Rainier.
amped out by the pipeline
Happy 4th of July from this Marine Vet and Army Medic Vet.

Looks like I dug 29 and the wife dug 42 Church keys. And I think they all are Olympia except for the fatter ones. Gonna clean one and see what it is.

Re: Alaskan Adventure Dig
Thanks bud. I wish I had kept a clear head and counted how many I dug. We didn't even touch that spot and left it to go in search of more, and if I would have counted them I'd have stayed and dug one more for a six pack.Leon wrote:Those Paradise club cones are nice finds. Congrats. LEON.

Re: Alaskan Adventure Dig
The Paradise Clubs are good cans and were produced in Tacoma, Washington. I've found them a few times and they are usually in really lousy condition. Those are as good a dumper as I've probably ever seen and soda collectors will definitely be interested in them, partially because of their scarcity and partially because it's a really attractive label. If you find yourself back in the area you should definitely check for more.
If you ever find a Paradise Club flat top (versus cone top) you have something really special. I'm aware of only a couple being found years ago and I don't think it's even in the soda book.

Re: Alaskan Adventure Dig
Thanks for that Scott. I did see the Cone top in Tanners 2nd Edition book but not the flat. Then I found the flat in the 3rd Edition book which did not show the conetop in there. I wonder why Tanner did that?Scott wrote:The Paradise Clubs are good cans and were produced in Tacoma, Washington. I've found them a few times and they are usually in really lousy condition. Re: Alaskan Adventure Dig
That's one of the rare instances that finding a gold Bud in that awesome condition is welcome!

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?
