Flea roast

#1

Post by bantam10 »

Started today off very early! Was already up north looking around at 10am. I hit a ton of spots around the Irons area, most of which at first didn't yield anything. Spot 3 (first spot with cans) was down this atv trail that was behind a few older cabins. I didn't expect to find much here honestly as I was just passing through when I see a big coffee can. Tons of those glass cans and 2 medium piles of 60's stuff. A few soda flats, and some awesome faygo cans were keepers here. Next stop was irons lookout tower. I was here a year ago today but just wanted to double check and I did find one unidentifiable flat. Then it was Lunch time At the irons flea roast and ox market. Big flea market with Tons of beer stuff and bottles here and it was fun to look around. Reviewed map after lunch and picked out a few more spots. One of which was an old homestead near a dam. House was gone for sure. But I was ways away from society and didn't feel comfortable walking to far away from the truck. I'll have to check this spot for a 3rd time when my dad is with me. That was followed by a bunch more driving and while on my way to another spot I came across this killer pull off next to a creek. I didn't see much on top but there were flat tops everywhere under the surface. Spent a good hour there until it was late evening and I had to leave. Still got across the street to check there too.
