Damn Ron.. barely any rust to be found. Nice cones man!

See the problem is.. once you start buying just mint or close to it, you pass up on some really nice cans because they have some visible rust, and you can only buy mint.

I started off saying I'd only buy mint, it lasted a month... now I'm buying just cans I've always wanted since childhood, regardless of condition, with plans to get the can first, then worry about upgrading second.

Trust me, those are not all mint!! Only a couple. Most have flaws and a few have some nice holes in the back or side. The flash always makes the cans look great from a distance, and I spend a lot of time cleaning and waxing them to look that way. The ones I have on ebay right now are more indicative of the general condition of these cans, but thanks for the compliment!

Here is some more Centlivre stuff!! (2 tin over cardboard signs //these rusty enough for you guys?)

Ya, Ron, I'm trying to get out of cones, though I think I've still got about 100 of them. I'm going to be cleaning the garage over the next 10 days & I'll see if I can locate my dups for you to take a look at. All are decent dumpers, except the 500 which is indoor with pretty good humidity. My plan is to thin out the stuff in boxes in my garage, so I'll probably be posting quite a few pictures here of traders. I'd like to move about 75% of my beer stuff. 50 boxes of stuff in my garage is not doing me any good, and I'd like to put a 63 vette in there instead. Will let you know when I get some shots of the cans. -Mike

Mike, after Ron has picked over the bones, please PM me with details!

Ron - you say above you spend a lot of time cleaning/waxing the cans. Does this mean you'll bring down a can more than once to clean it?

e.g. one day you say to yourself, "I'm gonna work on that rust spot once and for all" and focus on it? Or do you just soak the cans ONCE, and then wax them and that's it? What do you use for wax, btw?

If I could turn my semi rusters into looking like yours with a little elbow grease, I'll scrub and soak and wax till the cows come home.

I opened a tote today & it was full of many of my favorite cans. Not all of them... not all of my best ones... but some pretty cool labels. I keep dups of the good stuff in case I get a chance to trade for other tough cans. Some of these are available if you have tough cans for trade. Just upgraded the Nu Globe in this picture, so it is available (thanks Brookdale Lodge raffle! + Ed & Stew!!!!). Also posting a picture of a few of the cones I'm going to keep. I have about 100 that will be available for trade soon. -Mike

Snatcher,
Nice nice nice! Where did you land that Trump Ale? Man I have a hard time finding those anywhere. The brewery Wehle is only 15 min from me, I plan on going this Spring and digging up all along the existing river still there.

Oh one other question.. I've been looking for those plastic beer/cone containers.. can you give me a link to purchase those? Tx!

The Trumps was bought on Ebay about 3 years ago from Tavernrelics, sold to Millican about a year ago, and repurchased from collection this summer in a package deal. Its a 1/1+-- are they that tough?

The keepers are at :http://www.beercankeeper.com/

this is the perfect time of year to buy them because the air is so dry. You'll be sealing them with no humidity. They seem to be a good product, but sometimes collect stuff on them-- static electricity.
