Really? AL before AC? Interesting.

The Cascade chapter had their garage sale on Saturday and I saw a Krausbrau and a Tropical Ale (both dumpers ) from our resident over-priced collector (this oldtime collector). This guy comes to just about every show and takes ALL his cans back home. To give you an expample, he had a #2 Rainer Zip tab priced at $30.00, a #3 blue Rainier 'not-so-light' tab w/ a split seam for $65 - both are more than any book.

Sorry for the rant, but all those cans were desireable to me, but not for the price.

Yes, I have both of the the 16 oz. soft tops I mentioned. The Black Label is from Natick. The PBR's (I have one from two different canning companies) are too rusty to tell which city they are from.

I don't have a camera, but the PBR's are most definitely dumpers.

Great thread here! Seeing all those b/o super softs is killin' me. I always thought those cans were cool, being as how they were a short run lid from the early 60's.

Just back from vacation in the Adirondacks. No dumpers this year just a bunch of clean Tudors from a garage sale.

As for Soft Tops: I know Carling Black Label 12 & 16 ozs. are Natick, MA cans. Don't know if they were made at other breweries.
12 oz. UCs are Beer, Ale & Bock.
Finally, let's not overlook a Soft Top from the longest lived brewery in Lawrence, MA: Holihan's Beer with the 50th Anniversary New Aluminum Easy-Tap Top. Holihan Brothers was established in 1912, thus exactly dating the can as 1962. Don't know if there is a corresponding Ale Soft Top or a plain Soft Top.
