Any chance of good California cans....San Gabriel Dam and river status

I don't know the full details on what type of fishing can be/could have been done on this location. I believe there is no boating around the reservoir but bet up river there is plenty to be found.

Construction began 1932
Opening date 1939

@Rusty Jonesin

• San Gabriel Reservoir - shore fishing (no boats or watercraft) from the OHV side of the reservoir only.
• San Gabriel River -- all forks

Looks like much of the area is clear to do some looking......

Looking deeper into the river forks (east, north and west forks) on the drained side of the dam it doesn't look like there is any boating.

I'm sure it would be worth a peek around the reservoir/dam from where fishing was allowed.

Maybe...maybe not...

The East Fork is one of the most heavily used recreation areas in the entire National Forest system, as seen here. The river has suffered from trash and pollution as a result.

If drained as much as down river portion, one would think that there would be cans to be had........
