NCAA Basketball 2021 Tournament Challenge

#1

Post by Randy Karasek »

Let's try this again for 2021. If you are interested in joining the Rusty Bunch NCAA Basketball 2021Tournament Challenge click the link below:

https://fantasy.espn.com/tournament-cha ... t/2021/en/

Same as past years:
  • You may create TWO brackets, picks hidden and then frozen before first game
  • After creating a bracket make sure to join the "Rusty Bunch" group
  • You can create empty brackets now, teams selected March 14
  • This is a private group, password is "oxalic"
Unclear if any prizes this year, may be just for "bragging rights"

https://fantasy.espn.com/tournament-cha ... t/2021/en/

If entered AND you have joined the Rusty Bunch group, you should be able to see something like this:

Gonna be hard to repeat this year (after a 2 year reign). The ACC is no where. Gonzaga has not played anyone of significance. May be a year where literally anyone in the tournament can win. Looking forward to it.

Seedings will be strange since many schools have had multiple postponed games. And, I seem to have read that if a team does have Covid issues they were not going to add a "replacement team" for a given slot. I have watched some Big Ten, but little else this season.

This will be the craziest year ever. Kentucky is bad. Rutgers may be good. How is this possible?

Just joined the bracket for this year. I know very little about the teams this year, but one of these years--just by random chance--I should be able to be successful in my picks. My two 'favorite sons' wont even make the tournament this year (Minnesota and Illinois State)

Team selections have been made, time to create/fill out your brackets. Picks will be hidden until brackets automatically lock, sometime this week. Unclear with new day/time schedule, but assume you should complete your two brackets sometime next couple of days.

I still like the $50/30/20 cash prize, easy to deal with. However, this year I did not even discuss that since this could be a really screwed up tournament if some teams get quarantined and games not even able to be played! Hope all goes well, but will see.

I just got mine in again. Missed doing it last year. Thanks for setting up Randy. Are you heading to TAT in Green Bay so I can collect my prize if I should be so fortunate? I'm pushing Big Ten again this year to get a least one team in the championship game.

I know virtually nothing about college basketball but even I knew Ohio State was not supposed to get beat by Oral Roberts. That's quite an upset.

Here are the prizes from the chapter for the top three winners in the March Madness Tourney. The first place winner gets their choice of the can they want from the three pictured then the second place winner can choose their can and the third place winner gets the can that’s left. Once the tourney is over, please PM me with the can you want and I’ll ship it out. Thanks for playing and for Randy setting it up!!
