2020 Frankenmuth Buy, Sell, Trade Outdoor Show

It's time to return to Frankenmuth! The Michigan Chapter decided to cancel our annual SummerSwap show in July on account of COVID-19 but thankfully we are having an outdoor show tomorrow in the parking lot of the American Legion. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures but most I will not post until Sunday evening.

I had hoped to go to this show, but by the wording below copied from the show flyer, it appears wearing masks will be required outdoors, even though Mein Furer Whitmer has only dictated they be worn indoors.

We will be observing the state mandated requirements for current COVID-19 safety protocols to insure a safe show for our members and guests. Please come with this in mind so we can all have a safe and enjoyable show together. (Masks will be available if you forget yours)

It was a great show for everyone that attended. I would say 30 collectors selling things from their cars and tables and 30 or more walk in collectors, purchasing things. Everyone was very supportive of the health and safety issues and no problems were encountered.

Thanks for those who came to support the Chapter and the hobby.

Thanks for the pics. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to take and post the images. Nice big,clear pictures. Looked like a decent turnout, given the current pandemic situation. Good to see familiar faces...well kind of!

Definitely saw some cans and signs I would've fondled and tried to made offers on.

Well, there's always next year. Besides, I can't complain if I'm not alive!

I saw a "12oz Mule" in Wally Gilbert's collection when he passed years ago. Took a bit to notice that is was a very cleanly cut down 16oz.

Thanks much for the plethora of pictures. Looks like a really interesting show, nice turnout on a chilly day. A lot of cans here that I would have loved to have brought home if they were in budget. I have really missed seeing pictures from can shows. Hope this is a sign that we are finally returning to normal, and that next year, we can get back to can shows like normal.

I hope so too. We were able to have an outdoor show because despite the chilly start to the day, it was actually a pretty nice day. The next show in Frankenmuth is scheduled for January. I doubt if there will be too many nice days in January so we really need to find a solution that enables us to be inside. Does alcohol stop the spread of COVID? If that is the case, people will have no trouble staying healthy at the Frankenmuth show.
