Not an expert on the subject, but I'll take a guess. Is it a rusty beer can?

Yeah I think so too.

Can’t get acid at the neighborhood ace anymore so I’ll have a delay getting these cleaned and am just trying to make a conversation starter.

I do not have any guesses for the can. Why can't you get oxalic acid from Ace Hardware anymore? Did they simply choose to stop carrying it or is there more to it?
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana

They can’t carry it on the shelf anymore so I have to order it ahead of time. Should be there by Tuesday. Why that is I don’t know but it kinda ruined my day because I really wanted to clean cans lol.

Well it is not a Black Label.
Can you take another picture not so close up, to see if it is a flat top or cone top? What are the lids like? How about the seam?
I was gonna say Fox De Luxe or Black Eagle but that has to be wrong.

It’s a flat top. Early 50’s. Regular seam.
I found it with a Johnny pfeiffer but these lines don’t match up to one.

Mystery solved. I'll bet the day looking and digging that can was still better than a day at work. :smt023

Always.

I found a lot more cans this day, just haven’t posted them (which is unusual for me).

Seriously though, this and the blue shield Mountie cans are the most common cans I find. Way more than Johnny pfeiffer
