Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
Prices seemed lower on most cans in this round (except for the one I bought and the one I was outbid on ).....am I incorrect?

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
I only won one can. I did take a few silver medals though
I thought prices were about right. Some high, some low but overall about what I thought. I believe that we have gotten accustomed to seeing auction prices higher than usual prices and perhaps that's why they may have seemed low.
Then again, what do I know?

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
For the cans I looked at, I thought the prices seemed high. For example, the Drewery's set cans seemed high. There may have been other cans that went low but I did not recognize them as such because I am not familiar with those cans.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

I stayed away from this auction, because the ones that I was most interested in already had high pre-bids!

I think the above comment is spot on.Wrestling Nut wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 10:28 am

I was the high bidder on two cans. One priced about right to slightly high-ish all in, and the other very fair and perhaps a little low. Sent my check in today (to get the discount) and was thinking I'm good on the overall deal. Of course, don't have the cans yet!
My only complaint? It took way too long. The second can I wanted was near the end so I had to stay tuned if for the full seven hours. Having a great selection and variety is great, but man! Seven hours????
Otherwise, great auction and thank you Good Guys!!
Bob

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
I went one for four, with two second places. Like the last Morean auction, where I went one for eight, my lone win was a relatively inexpensive can. However, I did order up a holy grail can a couple days before the auction, so I can't complain. I can't ignore all these auctions, but I do prefer to just buy outright. Oh, and yeah, seven hours is too long.

Zero for one, but I made the winner pay. Lol. I just set my max bid and then go about my day. You win some and you lose some. Nice cans from the good Guys!
Thanks. Dave

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
Three for six. There was one absolute must-have, and the other two were great additions I’ve wanted for some time. The great thing about these auctions is they don’t mind putting up off grade cans. For example, the Argonaut that normally would be out of my price range (didn’t win that one). Nice mix, and super quick shipping from probably sleep-deprived good guys. Quality act

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
Yeah, zero for zero. My can hit my max as of the morning of the auction. It only went up another $100 or so from there, but I was toast. Gotta find a consolation price somewhere... I sold a few decent shelf cans for this opportunity!
Better to drive 950 miles and kick asz than go a thousand miles and get nothing.

Re: Good Guys Live Bidding open at 11:00 am EST
I was ofer. On the two cans I wanted most, I finished second. Since I tend to be a bottom feeder, that might indicate lower prices than usual, but who knows how high the two cans would have went if I (or a third person) kept bidding?
