some rare west coast cans turned up at the Super bowl show today Sicks Lager WF OIs

Hey Guys,
Had a great time at the super bowl show at Wauconda IL.
Lots of rusty bunchers there!!!
Lots of great cans!!! and some really nice Breweriana!!
The cans that stuck out to me were the Sick's Select Lager OI W/F!!! Holy crap!
I only know of one outdoor find, back in the late 90's.
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall a post on these cans (5+ years ago?),
and there were 1-2 indoor examples known???
Anyway, I will let more knowledgeable people speak on that.
These are indoor!
Here are the pics,
Enjoy,
Neil

I know!
I just could not believe it.
Most people just don't realize how rare these are.

I'm happy to say that one of them is heading back to Seattle. It's a major upgrade over the dumper/bondo special I got from the Nan and Stu Wick late 90's excursion.

Dan Baker of BeerCansPlus.com got the lead 2 weeks before the show. Dan got the best one and the rest were taken to the Bullfrog Show yesterday. Baker sent me an email and I called back and they picked up 3 for me. Well, one for Scott Field and one for Carl too but he didnt answer his phone right away but I knew he would want one. This is a pretty historic find because I have a photo of soldiers drinking these during the construction of the Alaska highway during the 1942-44 period. These were a craigslist find and it the bottom of a box of crappy 70s & 80s cans..... Thanks a million to www.BeerCanPlus.com.... the BEST dealers in the hobby - THE GOOD GUYS! Go visit their webiste or see them at a show.... Yeah Buddy! :smt023 :smt023

The owner did great with the cans. It was hard not saying anything, but just wanted to secure my can and a can for Mike Schubert. After Dave picked our cans out, I sent Ed a email then the flood gates opens up. Neil K is right on, these are just so rare, and these have color on them. After the first 8 they kind of go down hill condition wise.

The guy who found them is a go getter, hits every estate sale, or Craigslist lead. These were on the bottom of a box of 70's junky cans. Good for him...persistence pays off!! He called us asking us to price them, and in return he was kind enough to let us pick the best two. I am proud to put this can on my shelf as is Mike Schubert!!

Side observation to this....even if you aren't in on this find, I would bet there's going to be more than a few downgrades that will become available as a result.

I guess there are two left, one is really, really bad, and the other is in the middle of the pack. Once there gone......you know the rest.

I guess I was incorrect when I said there are only two left, the owner texted Dave (East Good Guy) and says there is only 1 left......I stand corrected.

If anyone out there has a downgrade they'd consider parting with, there's a guy in Connecticut who'd love to have a stab at one …

There are two different Sicks OD.....WF and IRTP

WF....very very very few known....less than 10 for sure....maybe around 5 or 6

IRTP....believe were 18 or so....all rolled.

Combining both IRTP and WF, it appears there are fewer of them than the now more abundant WF Lager
