While doing some research for an upcoming BCCA Magazine edition about the 1980's I happened across this article that I thought all us dumpers might get a good giggle at..."Computerized Dumping"

The article was in the 1980 July/Aug Newsletter. It was written by Robert Venners RB #66 @Route66

I've been lucky enough to enjoy a few 9.0 - 10.0 dumps with some fellow Rusty Bunchers......

Which one of yours rates in the 9.0 - 10.0 Dump Success Quotient Chart

Death Brook Waterfall & Dump (2) 2019.jpg
So on this chart I would rate the “Waterfall” dump, my Death Brook Dump as a 7.6 on the scale as I found it in 1977. Many great cans came from this dump at Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks in the 1970’s and 1980’s although most cans found came from the 1950’s as I remember. My best can from this site was a 2+ Waldorf Lager which did not come from the dump itself but from the hillside leading into the dump.
This September I had the opportunity to revisit the site forthe first time in at least 2 decades. Here it is, you would never know there was an active dump site here. Nature wins every time, even without urbanization which is ubiquitous now.
