International Brewing Co. Tray
I saw this tray in an antique store, I'm not up on American trays but it does appear to have some age. Asking price is a bit heavier than I would like to pay on a hunch. ($150.00) Any help would be appreciated.

Re: International Brewing Co. Tray
I am not familiar with that tray but I bet it is pre-pro and even in that condition, probably worth every penny of that price. I will be curious to see what more knowledgeable people suggest.
By the way, $150 Canadian is equal to $114 American today in case that helps people's analysis.

Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: International Brewing Co. Tray
I'll be heading out that way (an hour and half N/W of us) again next week, so I'll stop and see if they'll accept a lesser offer and if not, I'll step up and pay the asking price. Appreciate all the input.

Re: International Brewing Co. Tray
As Tom noted on the Facebook page, the condition really hurts it but if that truly is pre-pro as I suspect, it will still have a pretty good value even in that condition. There are old Grand Rapids trays out there that I cannot touch even in the condition of this tray because they cost too much. Of course, every tray is different and I am not familiar with this one. I bet Jeff's estimate is a good one.

Re: International Brewing Co. Tray
I did a quick search of the International Brewing of Buffalo and really didn't find much, Only thing I found was that it was in operation in 1897. I have a hard time believing that the business was only around for one year.
Would anyone have any other info regarding this brewery?

Re: International Brewing Co. Tray
I made it back out to the antique store that had the tray and it was still there, the lady would not negotiate but since I was paying cash she wouldn't charge me tax. I asked how she abtained it and she replied "my husband brought it home from an auction"
Once I got it home I took a damp cloth to it and it cleaned up pretty good, so I've added my first American tray to our collection of 150+ Canadian trays.
.
Thanks to all who helped me with this!
