Genesee Zips , fans, and tabs and question

#1

Post by kb »

Just looking at my random Genny white cans and wonder or curious is there a Naturally More Refreshing fan tab ? I have 2 different Zip styles and then an early ring pull but no fan tab (. NEver really search them out but maybe will start ) with the green Ale counterpart I have Zip , fan tab and then early ring pull when they went to Male Ale Image Image that black circle indicates where a Nat More Refresh fan tan should be with its green ALE mate ... I do like how they had Genesee imprinted on both side of tab lid , then went to Genesee on 1 side and pull ring on other as the cans progressed

I have those same two zips and a third that has "Lift tab-pull-it's open!" in two places on the top lid in black block script, I haven't seen a fan or narrow tab of this label as of yet.

Ok crusty you know about tab types so is 1 a narrow tab ? Also i assume because GENESEE is on both sides it’s older than 2 with Please don’t litter on one side .. also those seem to be 2 different tab styles ? ... Image...
and while I got ya , here’s a fan and a narrow tab (?) and both state Lift Ring Pull open Image .. guess it’s a good indicator on dating tabs . Thanks

The style you have I personally refer to them a "pear or teardrop" ring pull tab cans, the narrow style I spoke of are like the two pics shown, one is a ring pull narrow tab and the other is a lift-tab narrow style from two different lid manufactures....I also guess that there could be the possibility of a juice/insert tab lid as well, never seen one though on the Genny can in question.

KB we have dug 12 horse zips more than once but never more than a couple at a time, at least ones worthy enough to bring back. I know i used to have fan tabs of the naturally more refreshing to and it would have been something that we found as well. Just went rooting through to see what i have left and found these. Oh leon that fan tab 12 horse isn't all that tough from what i remember, i know i dug all 4 versions, flat, zip(2-3 top variations), fan and regular tab of those. I don't recall ever seeing any genny's with U tabs or dogbone zips though. Here is the tabs i have left that i could find and have a few flats too that i didn't pick out.
Well damn,it's been so long i can't figure out how to upload a pic here. Anyway i have a beer in black zip, light cream ale fan, 12 horse in regular tab and zip.
