Shifting some cans around this evening and came across something that I’ve never noticed before. Pics below of my example of what appears to be USBC 68-5. Unless I’m just missing something, I don’t see any brewery info listed on this can anywhere . What info can anyone offer here?

Re: Grace Bros can-no brewery listed
Note the posted pics without brewery is Keglined, the supplement is National with vertical red stripes. Keglined maybe a mistake? I don't have either can to check.

Re: Grace Bros can-no brewery listed
Not sure what the circumstances were that led to this can, but they are out there. Somehow, there was a production run of this can without the mandatory. My guess is that the paint was dry that was otherwise necessary to print the mandatory at the seam. Matt

Re: Grace Bros can-no brewery listed
All of the red ink would have been applied in a single pass on the second phase, wouldn’t it? Specks always reminds me that it is ink, not paint. Ziphippie

Re: Grace Bros can-no brewery listed
Huh? Maybe I am misunderstood something. What is ink instead of paint?
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: Grace Bros can-no brewery listed
doing my google-diligence, general guidelines not strict rules.
Inks are made of dissolved pigments and try to penetrate the surface, paints use an intermediary medium to carry the non-soluble pigment to the surface and coat rather than dye. Ziphippie
