Thank you RB brothers
I took 15 cans from the late Mike Murphy collection to Albuquerque. After a full year, Mikes widow Judy was comfortable seeing some holes on the shelves. Thanks to mostly Rusty Bunch guys, I got nearly $500 for Judy, which will help her tremendously. Along with the stories shared, I know Mike was there with us in spirit. He loved going to the Roadrunner show every year.
And a shoutout to the Roadrunner chapter. Dan Scoglietti and the rest of the volunteers really stepped up to make things work seamlessly. Blame the elevator issues on the building and state regulators.

Re: Thank you RB brothers
So glad you were able to pass on some of Mikes cans. I am sure Judy will appreciate the money received.
Also happy you were able to spread some stories of your friendship with a truly good man and that you were able to hear some of the great times others had in Mikes company.

Re: Thank you RB brothers
I saw Judy last night and filled her in on the show and guys sharing their stories of Mike. She wanted to pass along her gratitude to everyone for remembering him like that. For me, it was cool to see the Kotterman brothers, Tom Chegash and Bill Boyles, guys from our Ozarks trip in 1990.

Re: Thank you RB brothers
About 10-12 yrs ago I was looking for a decent Buffalo OI. and asked Mike if he had any traders. His answer was no. No traders. About 3 yrs later he upgraded his Buffalo OI and just sent me this can in the mail and left a note that you owe me a trade. I was floored as he sent me his former shelf can.

Here is a page from one of my old dumping memories photo albums. All three photos include Mike. You may have to click to open the pdf.
