WOW!! I do not believe I've ever seen the Schoen's, Steinbrau, Reidenbach, or Hapsburg before as real tabs. And most of the rest are super tough ... VERY impressive!!

Couple of our favs!!!
Lovin all the pictures of the great Tabs. Keep 'em coming. A recent post "Which state had the toughest tabs - New Jersey's hat was thrown into the fray. So here's to "Brew Jersey" -you be the judge. All cans are Book 2 cans ( zips, tabs, pulls, rings) The Westover is a dogbone. Ballentine Beer -the snakeskin, the Ballentine Ale - the silver stripe test can no. 226-7 and yes, the White Linden is a ring.
FYI : a long, long time ago I actually drank the Circle. I feel that bright Orange Horton is as good as a display can as there is in our hobby. Still on a quest for the Bett's and Goya tabs. My enthusiasm for the hobby is strong and sometimes rotating your own display cans (the Black Horse Ale was in a tote) helps to break up the monotony of looking at that same old display no matter how good the cans are that are in it.
Anyway here's to Jersey.
Enjoy,
Barfly

Re: Couple of our favs!!!
There are two Drewrys in that picture simply because I have two of them on my shelves. One has a bit nicer front side, the other has a little bit better gold band not faded to silver. Otherwise, they are identical top opened fan tabs. Both were gifts from Mr McGuire and among the last few cans of my former Michigan collection, and not something I plan to part with.Wheaton wrote: Um...why do you have two Drewry's? As for the Altes zips, simply a re-post of a picture I took at Blue/Gray 2007 when I arranged for all three known examples to be at the show. Click on the picture to see the fronts/backs/sides. This thread is basically a "show some of your favorite tabs" request and that is what I did, and I really enjoy seeing the other posts of their favorite tabs. Lots of cool examples already posted.

Beautiful, Barfly. I like how the rare mix so impressively with more common. But favs are favs. No one understands why 2 of my fav cans in my collection are aluminum. Drummond Brothers and Ivy League. Love 'em both.

The Einbock 6/$1.09 and "A Promise Kept" are as good as they get. Love those cans.
Currently in a collecting funk. Waiting for the bug to bite again to get back into collecting some type of cans, on a small, affordable level.

Nice stuff fellas. A Promise Kept is on my list. Here are some of my son's tabs. Older photo as a Playmate is now on his shelf. Too tired and hot to take another photo. Boy kids grow up fast.

My favorite tabs, well our only tabs (except for some of those Kruegers). Couple of tough ones in there thanks to the Good Guys. I didn't know the Haffenreffer Draught even existed from RI until a few months ago...

Re: Couple of our favs!!!
That Ballantine "Snake Skin" is pretty cool. The closest thing we have that resembles that is a Krueger Test with a "Foil" type of paint like the foil type of label they had back in the sixties. We got this one off Woody about a year ago. Thanks Wood! The other screwball can we have is a Hanley that is sort of an over-paint. Seems like pale yellow paint went over the gold. Whether it was a test, or a screw up, who knows, but it went out in the wild and was bought and drunk. I think we got that one off Dave Waugh.
