Beer Can Cups and Mugs

I know a lot of breweries gave away beer can cups. The reasons varied but I think often they were given away when somebody bought a keg of beer so they would have something with which to drink the beer. They were simple for the can company to make. Simply leave the top of the can off and then roll over the top edge.

There are also similar cups that include a handle on them. Sometimes, I think these may be homemade but maybe some canning companies made these too. They would require more effort over a plain cup but maybe some did it.

First, did any canning companies really make cups (mugs?) with handles like the one below?

Second, if the answer to the first question is yes, how can one tell the difference between something a crafty person made versus something that was mass produced by a canning company?

I bought the one pictured below on ebay recently. The pictures on ebay were pretty bad but I am pleased with the purchase. I have no idea if this was mass produced and given away by the brewery or it is something some guy made in his shop.

What are your thoughts?

You are correct. I did not look at it close enough earlier. So, this can must be a homemade mug but some breweries did mass produce mugs with handles. Thanks.
