Re: POST YOUR LIDS HERE.
Do I remember correctly that somebody made a vanity lid for re-lidded cans from the wind tunnel find? This way it would be easy to identify which Rainiers were part of that find.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: POST YOUR LIDS HERE.
One of the guys who initially ended up with a boat load of these wind tunnel cans had two versions of this lid made. Basically the same with the big R and the wording commemorating the 2016 find. However, one was a soup can like lid with multiple ridges. The other, like the one pictured below, is the more period correct version. I don't know his name, but he was actively selling wind tunnel cans on Ebay (maybe still is) with both lid version and also non-relided cans.pinnacle-project wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2019 3:03 pm Do I remember correctly that somebody made a vanity lid for re-lidded cans from the wind tunnel find? I really liked the concept of having a can or two to commemorate the find with a lid that clearly wasn't an attempt to fake the original. I wanted to find one as clean as possible and as we all know, all of these cans had at least some nicks and scratches. Also, I noticed some of the repro lids had some printing issues. Anyway, a guy showed up at the Gambrinus show in 2018 with 3-4 of them that he had purchased previously. I picked up the can below from him.
