With the extreme quantities of lids in the Domestic Beer category, I’ve decided to separate out the State Tax versions, the Alcohol Content versions and the IRTP/WF versions into their own categories.

Right now, I’m going through the Domestic Beer group and editing the images for a cleaner look. Here are examples of Before and After. Click to enlarge.

S-39-11 Mississippi Tax Paid 4 Cents on an aluminum Jax, most likely from the 70s.

Final summation.

The most common source of Vanity Lids are Flat Top cans. The introduction of aluminum “Easy-Open lids spawned another resource. And not to be left out, Tab Top cans contributed to the genre.

They are also found on Foreign cans. Domestic and Foreign Soda cans are also heavy producers of Vanity Lids.

I appreciate everyone’s assistance and contributions to make this possible. Thank you!

I updated all the Domestic Beer can lids into 3 categories and grouped them that way. I am putting each group in a separate post. I did not put together a group for Alcohol Statements.

• Easy Open Beers – 107 lids across 4 pictures.
• Domestic Beers – 711 lids across 21 pictures.
• Domestic State Tax – 162 lids across 5 pictures.

Total = 980 Domestic Can Lids As Of 10-21-2021

Yes, there are duplicates but each lid is identified by the brand of beer it was found on.
