Signs and Crates!
Saw the below signs & crates in an antique shop this weekend; anything worth picking up? The Rolling Rock is tin. Thanks!

Re: Signs and Crates!
Not sure what they want for the Narragansett sign, but it may be worth picking up if it is reasonable.

Re: Signs and Crates!
I have a hunch the Rolling Rock is a reproduction but I could be mistaken since Rolling Rock is out of my focus area. It just looks wrong.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: Signs and Crates!
How much is the OC crate? I don't know what people are actually getting for them but there's a few listed for hefty amounts on line. If it's cheap it might be worth grabbing. Definitely has some cool factor. I like old crates.

Re: Signs and Crates!
It is all worth picking up if the price is right. Without a frame of reference on what they want for them it is a hard question to answer. If they are asking $5 each buy them all. If they are asking $500 each pass on them...

Re: Signs and Crates!
Crates go from $15-100 dollars depending on the brewery (at least that is the ranges I have observed-older bringing more). I think no more than $35 would be fair on the crates. The crates serve multiple purposes, they are very utilitarian for carrying things. I use them for cookouts and taking stuff to shows.

Re: Signs and Crates!
I would stay away from the Hampden crate at any price - too weathered and somewhat common. If I saw that for $10.00 at the local flea market I would pass on it. The Old Colony is prohibition era - better than that Hampden crate but I would not pay more than $25.00 - $30.00 unless you wanted it for yourself. The bottles with no labels, even with an embossed name have very little collector value if they are from that 1920's time period. They look all the same....
Wanted: Hartford Connecticut Breweriana for my collection.....

Re: Signs and Crates!
If you look closely at the bottles, some of them have the Cliquot Eskimo enbossed on the bottom (pretty cool), I think the bottles are just in crate as a filler.
