That's what I'd like to know. I've seen some different Wine cone tops before but I think those were from the 1950's. Don't think I ever seen a wine can as early as 1936. Must be a low profile but looks more like a High Profile in Pic. Here's the Full Ad with 1936 Date at top. LEON.

I dug a low-pro wine can maybe 15 years ago.....cannot recall what it was ...only semi legible..tossed it eventually......was surprised it was a wine can......

Do you think it would be a paper label?

I can say I just sold a paper label flat top for a stunning $600 in cash and trade I about died and these things must be super tough to find. I had this can for over 15 years and never knew it was worth that much!!

I wonder how "vacuum wine" was a selling point back then.

It is still full but I think the wine turned into syrup. I need to empty it and clean it up...

Those are cool....but they are different.

The paper label is a "Port" wine with the painted label is "Muscate"
