I'm thinking about hitting a show this Saturday in Potosi, WI that I've never tried before. I see it isn't a BCCA-affiliated event. Does anybody here regularly attend this show? I'm curious about show size and whether It's primarily cans or otherwise.
Thanks.

Re: Potosi Breweriana Show
I have been going to this show for a number of years and have always enjoyed it. I would say it’s more Breweriana than cans.
They have fried catfish dinners and lots of pie. That’s always good.
Definitely want to go to the museum. Lots of nice stuff there.

Wisconsin collector plus anything else that's cool looking.

Re: Potosi Breweriana Show
I am really glad I made it to this show. As noted above, it was tilted in favor of breweriana over cans, but there was plenty of everything for everybody. Early raffle, which I am unaccustomed to. Good food and drink availability, samplers of the different Potosi craft brews, and a very strong turnout definitely made it a great event. Picked up a case or so of fun rust, some new and some upgrades. The Western Brew from Sioux City and the Natty Boh crown pretty well made the show for me:
We then made a 5 minute drive to the Potosi Brewing Co site, where I was in for way more than I expected...
The old brewery building has been converted to a restaurant/rathskeller and museum. The first floor had an extremely well-done display of Potosi breweriana and other memorabilia, and was free to look through. That was a joy in itself, but then with our show wristbands, the GF and I could get on the elevator and visit the National Brewery Museum on the upper floors for just $2 apiece. That was cheap enough that I took a chance, and immediately off the elevator, I was confronted by the two displays pictured...and that was just the start. I uttered some gentle expletives and I'm pretty sure my heart tried to stop a couple times.
I literally have another 100 pictures on my phone, but I'm going to leave it right there so as not to spoil it for anybody. Go and see for yourselves. Just. Do. It.
After an hour walking through the exhibits, with my unhinged jaw resting on my shoes, we headed to the rathskeller for a bite and a complementary pint. I can't say enough good things about this visit to Potosi, and we will absolutely be back next year. It would be awesome to see even more regional can collectors join in - this show would be busting at the seams!
Two thumbs up! Thank you to the show organizers for a great event, and to ABA for the amazing exhibits at the brewery. Absolutely, unforgettably, drop-dead stunning.
